Docsvision ECM

In October, 2016 Docsvision announced new product development – the Docsvision ECM platform intended for automation of internal processes and document flow in the large companies and authorities.

Docsvision explained TAdviser that the processed core of the main Docsvision platform is the cornerstone of a new solution. Its architecture was changed so that considerably to increase reliability of a system and possibility of its scaling. According to the company, the new solution is capable to be scaled without performance penalty at simultaneous operation up to 50 thousand users and allows to enter up to 1 million documents a day. The normal Docsvision platform, according to the representative of the company, supports simultaneous operation about 5 thousand users.

The representative of Docsvision in a conversation with TAdviser noted that with growth of number of users performance of a normal system can decrease, and in Docsvision ECM such restrictions of performance are eliminated. The bigger number of employees uses a system at already existing customer of Docsvision, the he will notice a bigger prize on high-speed performance, the interlocutor of TAdviser says.

Docsvision positions the new solution as an alternative to import platforms of automation of internal processes of the largest Russian enterprises. That the solution answered the import substitution purpose more, in it support of the system software with the open code will be provided: PostgreSQL DBMS and Linux OS. Among OS which are considered by Docsvision at the initial stage – Astra Linux and Alt Linux.

Docsvision notes that still large companies not too hurry to pass to the free software, however there are enterprises which will be forced it to make against the background of the existing state policy. For such clients support of the open source software by the ECM platform will be relevant, consider in the company.

As well as other solutions of Docsvision, the new platform are going to be registered in the register of the Russian software.

To full-scale release of a new solution on the Docsvision market is going to implement several indicative pilot projects. According to TAdviser, testing of the new platform as of fall of 2016 conducts Sberbank which is already a client of Docsvision and wants to transfer the solution to the centralized architecture for territorial banks.

Users at whom the Docsvision platform is already set will receive the new optimized core in the form of the next updating without additional payment. Customers who at the same time need expanded scalability and some other opportunities for large enterprises will be able to receive this functionality at additional payment.

Docsvision ECM at the price will be closer to Documentum, but not to Docsvision, the representative of the company noted in a conversation with TAdviser, having added that such price is justified for scales when at the enterprise tens of thousands of employees use it. In that case this amount is divided into all, he says.

The company began work on a product at the beginning of 2016, and is going to bring it to a status of complete readiness by the beginning of 2017. The new platform is compatible to the previous versions of Docsvision, developers emphasize.
