In late August 2023, South Korean startup Sunny Wave Tech unveiled the Dogsplay device - said to be the world's first TV designed specifically for dogs.

The developers say that when creating the display, the peculiarities of the vision of four-legged friends of a person are taken into account. The fact is that dogs are able to distinguish only blue and yellow colors, as well as some shades of gray. At the same time, they are able to perceive an average of 70 frames per second, while people record only 30 personnel. Dogs are usually short-sighted: the farther the object is, the more blurred it seems to them.

It took about three years to create Dogsplay. The TV has special algorithms and filters that optimize the display parameters. In particular, the proprietary Dogflix technology adjusts the frame rate, saturation and contrast of the image depending on the viewing angle.

The device provides two-way functions. video conference This allows owners to communicate with their pets remotely using a mobile application for. smartphone The camera built into the TV provides an angle of view of up to 84.1 degrees. Full HD resolution is supported - 1920 × 1080 pixels.

The novelty is endowed with a broadband speaker with a reproducible frequency range of up to 40 kHz, allowing dogs to hear richer sounds. A special stand with adjustable legs makes it possible to change the height of the screen, adjusting it to dogs of a particular breed. The screen shows content specially selected and prepared for dogs. In addition, project participants are working on adapting their product for cats. As of early September 2023, the price of Dogsplay leaves about $500.^[1]
