2009: Creation of the first version of the browser

In 2009 the development team created the first version of the mobile Dolphin browser.

By the beginning of 2014 the application was downloaded by more than 100 million users worldwide, and the most part of downloads fell on such countries as the USA, China and Russia.

The Dolphin Internet browser received in October, 2014 the version of Dolphin Express localized in 12 languages, including in Russian. The first version of the browser was available only in English, and now and the Russian users will be able to appreciate convenience and pluses of the Russian-language version.

The difference of Dolphin Browser from other mobile browsers is that it is created especially for smartphones with the touch screen. It allowed developers not to transfer already available functions to the mobile platform, and to create absolutely new intuitive management which does not have analogs.

Dolphin Express is created especially for the Russian users. On the home page of the browser users will be able to find the Russian local news and a weather forecast. In Dolphin Express there is perfectly developed and trained management system for gestures which does web surfing fast and convenient. For access to function it is enough to draw the character corresponding to the set website or a command on the screen, and the browser will automatically execute a request. Users can configure all characters according to the preferences.

Function of voice actuation is activated by easy "stirring" of the mobile phone or clicking of the button with an icon of "microphone" in the bottom of the screen. Using this function it is possible not only to set search query, but also to manage the browser (for example, to return in the beginning of the page, to open a new tab or to share the link). Due to the lack of the version of the Dolphin browser for the PC many users worried that they will lose function of synchronization of tabs and preserving of favourite Internet pages. However developers created the Dolphin Connect expansion for computer browsers, such as, for example, Safari, Firefox and Chrome which will allow to open tabs and to save data for an input on the websites on any device. Also users will be able to send photos from one device to another.

As for performance and speed of loading of pages, in HTML5 tests of the mobile Dolphin browsers is in number of leaders. It also supports integration into popular applications and cloud services of data storage, such as Facebook, Dropbox and Evernote. Important line of Dolphin is support of Flash without installation of the additional software.

Dolphin Browser is the flexible mobile browser. For it there is a set of the add-on modules expanding its opportunities. For example, users can save favourite pages in the PDF format in a photo gallery of the smartphone. The set of options of a design of the browser is in addition available.

The personalized home page will provide to users quick access to the favourite websites, a weather forecast and a news feed. The localized version of the browser is available with already preset buttons of fast loading of the most popular websites among Russians, such as VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
