2019: Start of open API

On October 14, 2019 it became known that the instrument of increase in interactivity of streams DonationAlerts starts open API. It will help third-party developers to create widgets and to customize service under needs of streamers.

DonationAlerts API gives an opportunity to third-party services and applications to interact with the platform, requesting the basic open data of a profile: nickname, avatar and history of donat. At the same time every time at authorization via third-party applications the user himself agrees, to share the personal data or not. DonationAlerts provides to third-party services 3 skoup:

• oauth-user-show are data of a user profile
• oauth-donation-subscribe is a subscription for notifications on paid messages
• oauth-donation-index is viewing paid messages

At the first stage of release developers will have an opportunity of creation of own widgets for streams. The library in which each streamer will be able to find widgets from third-party developers will be soon implemented and to set it on the broadcasting.

Throughout all existence of DonationAlerts we received a large number of requests on API. And at last the moment came when we can open to not indifferent developers. Open API is very big step towards to our users, now everyone will be able to finish our tool so that it was for it the most convenient.
