Manufacturers of the equipment and software developers widely use the EMC Captiva Cloud Toolkit tools after its emergence at the end of 2011. Large manufacturers of scanners and MFP, including Avision, Brother, Canon, Epson, Fujitsu, HP, Kodak, Panasonic, Plustek and Visioneer, deliver the devices supporting these new web applications with the built-in functionality of scanning.
Captiva Cloud Toolkit provides broad support of web browsers and platforms of web development, considerably reducing barriers to accession of physical documents to cloud to both web applications and business processes. The business applications with web functionality using these tools work with all standard platforms of web browsers, including Windows Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, and do not require additional software for their start, such as ActiveX, or the built-in modules of browsers. Using Captiva Cloud Toolkit developers can quickly create working business applications with web functionality of the built-in scanning, compatible to the existing corporate web browsers and platforms of development, such as HTML5, Microsoft Silverlight, JavaScript and Adobe Flash.
