ETegro Fastor FS200 G3

Two-controller DWH of ETegro Fastor FS200 G3 - failsafe DWH for work in convergent infrastructure with speeds of 10 Gbps and 40 Gbps. A system is created on the basis of Windows Storage Server 2012. She guarantees continuous data availability and provides access both under the block iSCSI protocol, and under file protocols of CIFS/NFS.

Features of the solution

ETegro Fastor FS200 G3 uses all opportunities of protection and data management available to products of such class:

• deduplication,
• thin provisioning,
• trim,
• replication,
• snapshots,
• balancing of loading and multipath,
• migration of virtual storages irrespective of physical media and separation of storage on levels – all this advantages which are provided by Windows Storage Server 2012 OS, doing a system more reliable and protected.

Besides, use of iSCSI and Single Instance Storage (SIS) technologies allows to eliminate duplication of data and more optimum to use storage resources.

Form factor - a rack

The new storage system which is released in body 2U for rack-mounting is executed based on two nodes of a cluster in the active-active mode working at Windows Failover Clustering. Nodes are built in the uniform chassis, use one set of power supplies and modules of cooling, considerably increasing efficiency of use of energy and saving investments into the capital investments, saving compact and high density design.

Many disks do not happen

The ETegro Fastor FS200 G3 body will contain up to 12 disks with hot swap. It is possible to combine size disks, both 3.5", and 2.5". For further building of disk space specialists of ETegro suggest to use disk regiments of the ETegro Fastor JS300 G3 expansion with support to 60 disks in body 4U. The most achievable data volume in a single system of storage based on ETegro Fastor FS200 G3 is up to 528 TB unformatted capacities (up to 132 disks with hot swap).

DWH of ETegro Fastor FS200 G3 is applied as server, network or cluster storage. System architecture is expected heavy transaction loadings and provides compact and economic storage and processing of huge data arrays.
