2019: EcoStruxure Building Operation 3.0

On August 26, 2019 the Schneider Electric company provided upgraded version of EcoStruxure Building Operation — the software for complex control and systems management of ventilation, heating and air conditioning and also other engineering systems of buildings.

According to the developer, the EcoStruxure Building Operation tools of version 3.0 expand possibilities of managers of buildings, owners of buildings and system integrators on management of buildings and improvement of their indicators, increase in efficiency of engineering works and accomplishment of modern requirements for cyber security and regulations.

EcoStruxure Building Operation functions of version 3.0 mentioned by the developer:

• Dashboards and instruments of visualization. The Building Operation system is complemented with the built-in functions of a dashboard, including simple functions of creation and editing, for use on WebStation and giving the chance of job analysis of the systems of the building. Dashboards are configured individually and provide analytical data in real time from any location and on any device.
• Expanded data warehouse. For clients who need to store contemporary records during the long time frame it is possible to connect the Building Operation servers, including the SmartX servers and to store all data of the magazine of trends and events in the open, scalable, reliable and high-performance databases intended for work with Big Data.
• It is more than opportunities for the solution Connected Room. The Building Operation 3.0 system expands possibilities of the solution Connected Room for the personalized service of the guests, residents and tenants who are in the building and increases in efficiency of the building. The solution gives an opportunity to save time and resources thanks to the configured standard applications and also mobile application of eCommission.

  • Support of several versions: support of flexible architecture and simplification of future updates. The EcoStruxure Building Operation 3.0 system is a basis for considerable simplification of future updates due to support of several versions. It is not required to update any more the existing systems when the need for expansion appears. It is necessary to update only those parts of a system which are necessary for use of functions.

    • The configured menu of applications: allows engineers to create the menu of settings to which technicians get access at application deployment. EcoStruxure Building 2.0: software updating and equipment for intellectualization of the building

On November 21, 2018 the Schneider Electric company announced updating of the open platform of automation of buildings of EcoStruxure Building 2.0 integrating applications, the software and the equipment for creation of intellectual buildings with a single system of management.

According to the company, the updated architecture for November, 2018 allows:

• to increase economy of energy by 30%,
• to reduce unscheduled maintenance and an implementation time by a third,
• to increase efficiency of use of the areas of the building by 25%,
• lower number of complaints to comfort by 33%,
• to reduce performance penalties of the building by 15%.

Within the complete solution EcoStruxure Building 2.0 the whole equipment for intellectualization of the building is updated and improved.

The software of EcoStruxure Building Operation 2.0.1 found a number of important advantages. The next version offers more complete overview of the systems of the building and an information access that allows to make decisions for fast return of investments. The updated software for November, 2018 also allows to increase energy efficiency of the building and to reduce costs to 30%.

In the version of EcoStruxure Building Operation 2.0.1 the specialized Enterprise Central server allowing to integrate in network and to control the large and deleted from each other buildings is available to implementation. Access to the Enterprise server The client will be able to receive Central through the WebStation 2.0 application which provides access to the most often used EcoStruxure Building Operation functions for personnel of the building without the need for installation of additional software. The version of WebStation automatically adapts to resolution of the used device (the desktop PC, the notebook, the tablet or the smartphone based on Windows, Linux, Android, iOS) that allows to save resources and time.

To version 1.2 also the tool of a configuration of the Project Configuration Tool (PCT) project was updated. It allows to increase efficiency and to save personnel time, unrolling virtual environment for design, programming, modeling and the analysis of decisions without need of access to the equipment.

The SmartX IP network controllers of the MP series are presented in the version of EcoStruxure Building by two model groups – MP-C and MP-V. These are completely programmable devices having a combination of inputs and exits, performance sufficient for a broad spectrum of the OVKV applications. All these advantages allow to integrate SmartX IP controllers into IT infrastructure of the enterprise or the building. Moreover, using mobile application of eCommission this equipment for November, 2018 allows to accelerate input of a system in operation for 20% and also to implement projects and to eliminate dependence on network infrastructure.

The next sensors for premises within EcoStruxure Building SmartX Sensors "4 in 1" integrate in the stylish body of function of detection of presence, management of temperature, humidity and the maintenance of CO2. SmartX IP controllers of the MP series support all sensors of premises SmartX.

Level of applications, analytics and services opens possibilities of predictive analytics and decision making on the basis of exact state-of-health data of the building.

1. EcoStruxure Building Advisor is the application which carries automatically out diagnostic service of the systems of one or many buildings to help to solve far off up to 80% of problems in the systems of buildings, to reduce the frequency of unplanned service by 29%, to cut down expenses on energy on 30%, and number of complaints to comfort level - for 33%.
