Efficio (the platform for SynchroMed data management)

2020: Start

At the end of January, 2020 Medtronic started a cloud software platform of data management for the system of delivery of the drugs SynchroMed II. The new solution from the American producer was received by the name Efficio.

It allows doctors to manage target parameters of delivery of medicines for treatment of patients with chronic pain, tumoral pain and the expressed spastichnost. The platform integrates, systematizes and provides the aggregated data about patients obtained from the clinical physician in a safe cloud environment in a visual form. Information is available to doctors in any place and at any time.

For many years clinical physicians independently configured medicinal pumps using difficult procedures — the chief physician of department of chronic pain of hospital of St. Louis Chris Beuer explained. — Now a one click of the button I can trace treatment of each patient or create the report within several minutes. Efficio also helps me to be guided with terms of refill and replacement of a pump and also to monitor trends in dosing and the functional status of the patient. The new tool facilitates work and allows me to pay more attention to care of patients.

Efficio integrates data of the patient, allowing to estimate the existing trends and to control therapy. Besides, the platform allows to plan meetings with patients, facilitates tracking of orders for the drugs which are released according to the recipe and terms of gas station of a pump.

Efficio marks one more step to simplification of address delivery of drugs, the vice president and the general manager of target delivery of drugs in Medtronic Charlie Covert told. — The innovative solutions which simplify therapy control will allow clinical physicians to treat effectively a pain syndrome and symptoms of a heavy spastichnost".[1]
