Ekinops 360

Product
Developers: Ekinops
Technology: SCS

Ekinops 360 is a xWDM-platform for optical networks of the next generation which supports DWDM and CWDM technologies.

2019: Ekinops 360 functions

As of November, 2019 the multi-purpose Ekinops 360 platform allows to transfer data with speed up to 600 Gbps with selection to 80 DWDM channels that promotes easy scaling and adaptation of a system under needs of the specific customer. The possibility of enciphering provides confidentiality at data transmission between DPC of customers.

Ekinops 360 is the cornerstone advanced technology of T-Chip which provides hi-tech and economic functioning of the equipment (xWDM system).

Basic functions of Ekinops 360:

  • Flexible, scalable architecture
  • High scalability in process of growth of network at the minimum investments
  • Single platform for city, regional and backbone networks
  • Sending range for system 10G: up to 2000 km (without the O-E-O conversion)
  • Ekinops DynaFEC — one of progressive technologies for error correction and improvement of OSNR C/DWDM of technology in one construct
  • Economic ROADM modules on 2, 8 directions
  • The "scalable amplifier" technology, allows to optimize CAPEX & OPEX depending on the number of channels
  • Consolidation of several protocols on one wavelength (Mix Ethernet, video, Escon SONETSDH,/...)
  • Support of extended flights (up to 300 km) with complete capacity of a system
  • Economic service modules for different applications
  • Functionality of the gateway for protocols:
  • *LAN PHY и WAN PHY
    • OC-192 и LAN PHY

  • Compact chassis: 2RU and 7RU
  • Low delay on distribution of a signal through a WDM system
  • Low power consumption
  • Support of electric control link. The electric control link, does not require mezzanine boards for the organization of control link due to multiplexing by optical transponders of information of control link and the transmitted signal. ESC allows to simplify structure of network, to improve the budget of optical power of a system, to increase reliability, to reduce costs.
  • SONET/SDH PM and RMON for an Ethernet network
  • Support of standard SFP and XFP transceivers
  • Reservation on side of line 1+1
  • Inverse multiplexing at a speed of 10 Gbps for increase in range of work on old optical cables
  • Integration with the outdated[1]
