2020: The announcement of the exoskeleton unloading 50% muscles
On September 28, 2020 the exoskeleton of Ekzostul intended for simplification of physical activities was provided. The device was developed by the "Rostec — the Entrusted Platforms Robotic Complexes" company entering into Rostec.
The modular construction allowing to unload joints and muscles of the person is its cornerstone. Developers used composite materials on the basis of carbon and basalt fiber and developed own control algorithm the movement of links of an exoskeleton which allows to configure modularity of an exoskeleton for the solution of different tasks.
The exoskeleton consists of the following modules:
- The module of a torso reduces loads of a back in a sitting position or standing, creates a correct posture at inclinations.
- The module of hands supports shoulders in forced provision during the long work on weight.
- The module of a neck unloads neck muscles, compensates the weight of the nalobny equipment.
- The module of legs reduces load of muscles of legs through distribution of weight of other modules, including allows to sit without chair.
- And also a set of add-on functional modules, for example, "the third hand" for deduction of the heavy equipment is provided.
As the producer claims, the exoskeleton is capable to unload up to 50% muscles of a back, hands, a neck and legs. According to one of authors of the project Maxim Skokov, innovation can be applied, in particular, to unloading of the musculoskeletal device of doctors.
The exoskeleton provides considerable support to the doctor at work in a sitting position or standing. Ours differs from other exoskeletons in convenience of carrying, including under individual protection equipment and also a configuration under the necessary task. Optionally it is possible to equip construction with power drives that will significantly expand functionality — Skokov (the quote by TASS) noted. |
The cost of an exoskeleton will be from 30 thousand to 130 thousand rubles depending on a complete set.[1]
