2023: Launch Statement

The Russian manufacturer of electric vehicles "Tigarbo Eco" in early April 2023 announced the completion of road tests of a fully localized version of the production model of the Elecar 5E-Tigarbo 4 + 2 electric car. The machine is preparing for the start of sales.

The novelty has a power reserve on a single charge of up to 120 km and is charged from the 220 V power grid in eight hours. It is noted that due to the lack of imported spare parts and components, the production time of the electric car has been halved. Elecar 5E-Tigarbo 4 + 2 is equipped with a 10 kW electric motor and a 116 A·ch battery.

Previously, we had to expect the supply of components from China for more than two months. Thanks to the use of domestic components, we managed not only to speed up the production process of the novelty, but also to halve the time for maintenance and repair of the machine, "said Vladlen Arushanov, general director of Tigarbo Eco.

The company said that first of all, the electric car is intended for use in closed areas - in parks, hotel complexes, cottage villages. However, the electric car is also certified for operation on public roads, it can be registered with the State Traffic Inspectorate.

The new electric car is produced at the company's enterprise in the city of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov Region. Its sales will begin in April 2023.

Tigarbo Eco intends to expand the range of electric vehicles: by the beginning of April 2023, the company is engaged in the production of a cargo model of an electric car, which can pull passenger trailers, which is especially important for park areas. It is also planned to create an electric model with increased cross-country ability for extreme off-road. The simplest three-wheeled Tigarbo without a roof costs 1.2 million rubles, and the most expensive model - a two-ton truck - 3 million rubles.^[1]
