On November 6, 2020 the Emerson company provided the wireless module of automatic recovery (ARM) for the electronic platform of the field buses AVENTICS G3 allowing technical specialists to perform setup works and diagnostics of a system of pneumatic valves from the mobile phone, the tablet or the notebook.
AVENTICS G3 is the platform of field buses whose wireless technology of setup and diagnostics of a valve system is directly near at hand the engineer. The wireless module ARM and the platform for the field bus AVENTICS G3 are ideal for application with the valve systems in automotive industry, in the food, tire, packaging and metalworking industries.
The wireless module ARM provides convenience of diagnostics and start of the platform of the field buses AVENTICS G3 thanks to the built-in access point of Wi-fi and the mobile website even if a valve system is located in the production unit or in difficult available places. The Human-computer Interface (HCI) of the module provides certain advantages and higher flexibility at lower price. To reduce a downtime, the wireless module ARM issues notifications of alarm, announces voltage levels, short circuit, errors in the module, errors at break of a chain of loading and errors of a distribution manifold.
Thanks to compactness the device can be connected to the platform of the field buses AVENTICS G3, having installed it in the jumper slot. The module is equipped with three power levels of signals: on short, average and long distance that provides secure and secure access to data irrespective of an installation site of a valve system. Additional benefits on protection — a radio signal with a possibility of switching off at setup, different options when installing the password, providing information on diagnostics and adjustment, including without ability to manage the device.
The wireless module ARM is compatible to EthernetIP protocols / DLR and PROFINET. In future versions of the module existence and other protocols is planned.
The wireless module ARM protects also configuration these platforms of the field buses AVENTICS G3 from critical errors, including errors in parameters of all set nodes and the connected input-output module.
The Emerson company also provided on the market and an advanced clamping device for connection of ARM to the platform of the field buses AVENTICS G3 which is compatible to platforms of the field buses ARM and G3. This clip of ARM increases reliability of a system, protecting configuration data from critical failures of a valve system.
Electronic parameters and installations of the platform of the field buses AVENTICS G3 are automatically remembered in a fixed memory of ARM. After that there is an automatic de-energization of ARM that ensures reliable safety of information at voltage surge or at a critical error.
The compact module ARM easily is installed in the slot of a jumper of the AVENTICS G3 platform without need to change the fixing basis.
