The Lieberman Software corporation announced in March, 2012 a release of the new version of the flagship product on management of exclusive accounts of Enterprise Random Password Manager (ERPM). The new release includes functionality on detection and protection of the standard and preset by producers passwords that allows to strengthen protection of exclusive accounts against a non-authorized access.
The new feature of ERPM on detection of the known passwords scans network, defines and protects the standard and set by default logins and passwords which can be used by malefactors for access to important corporate data. For many devices producers set logins and passwords by default, and they often are left without changes though are known to much. Using such accounts, any, having malicious intent, can get access to corporate systems and applications.
The solution ERPM automatically protects accounts with the standard and preset passwords, and submits authorized IT to administrators the informative report on the got access. As additional benefit of ERPM saves IT personnel time, instantly providing data of accounts as required, providing audit and delegation of access to systems to applications.
ERPM continuously detects, protects and controls data of exclusive accounts: on each server and the workstation; on data handling units (routers, switches, accelerators of applications); on critical business applications, web services, databases, application servers, backup systems, managements of identification of access and management systems for applications. Integration into business applications is performed by means of the special application suite from SDK developer, and the configured EventSink function can warn and provide the report on actions of users and administrators by means of SIEM infrastructure of the enterprise.
Enterprise Random Password Manager is compatible to SQL Server database servers 2012 Databases
The Lieberman Software corporation provided in April, 2012 new opportunities of Enterprise Random Password Manager (ERPM) – the solution for management of exclusive accounts which supports Microsoft SQL Server 2012 now. The product ERPM has the broadest functionality in the industry now and provides management and security of exclusive accounts for an absolute majority of operating systems, databases, business applications, network devices, etc.
ERPM automatically determines SQL 2012 accounts, provides their centralized updating and distributes updates on all accounts which are used in data center. And also, gives an opportunity to use SQL Server of 2012 as safe storage location of passwords in encrypted form, with a possibility of delegation to the user of separate passwords as required.
Without ERPM data of exclusive accounts are used uncontrolledly that contradicts requirements and can lead to leak of confidential information.
Except SQL Server, ERPM provides automatic identification, management and protection of accounts of privileged users for all infrastructure of Microsoft in general, including operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft ASP.NET and Microsoft SharePoint.
