2020: Rostec invests 251 million rubles in production of medical products for laboratory diagnostics
On July 13, 2020 Rostec announced investment of 251 million rubles into production of medical products for laboratory diagnostics. At the Rybinsk plant of instrument making (JSC RZP, is included into Vega concern of Ruselectronics holding of Rostec state corporation) in 2021 is going to begin serial production of hi-tech medical plastic which is used, in particular, for diagnosis of a coronavirus of COVID-19 — microtest tubes like Eppendorf from 0.2 to 2 ml and tips dosers of 200 and 1000 mkl.
Microtest tubes are used for storage and transportation of biomaterials when carrying out laboratory researches and also for separation of the studied materials in centrifuges.
Enterprise capacity will be 160 and 270 million medical products a year respectively. From 251 million rubles about 117.3 million rubles RZP will gain in the form of a concessional loan from Fund industry developments.
According to the statement of Rostec, by July, 2020 Coca of 88% of the products from medical plastic intended for laboratory diagnostics is delivered from abroad. Start of new production will allow to reduce an import share by 30%. It is expected that products of the enterprise will be about 20-30% cheaper than foreign analogs and is more qualitative than the Russian.
According to the CEO of RZP Andrey Komogortsev, early diagnostics is one of the most important factors of warning of spread of a koronavirusny infection. Demand for diagnostic products grows therefore before the enterprise there is a task per short terms to increase production volume and to expand listed products.
It is noted that opening of new high technology production at the enterprise of Rostec – the first stage of the project directed to import substitution program implementation. By 2021 it is going to launch production of the complete range of laboratory plastic and to cover up to 30% of need of the Russian market for target segments.[1]
