the device for SNMP of monitoring of sensors and management of different objects on an Ethernet network . Supports remote monitoring and management via the WEB interface, Telnet, SNMP. Perhaps automatic control of power supply depending on value of any controlled parameter, for example temperature. It allows to organize completely autonomous system of maintenance of the set temperature on an object, managing turning on of devices of heating and cooling depending on the current value of temperature. Can exercise control of functioning of communication channels and automatically reboot the equipment at communication loss. Equicom PING3  has dimensions 89 x 62 31 mm and weight only 110 gr. that allows to place it practically in any place.  the Power supply is not included in the delivery. 


There are two modifications of the device: PING3 and PING3-knock, they differ only in existence in PING3-knock the shock sensor.

Brief summary of the main features of the Equicom device:

1) 4 types of sensors: temperature, humidity, blackout and floodings.

2) SNMP and SNMP Traps: You can integrate Equicom with any program for monitoring. Through SNMP it is possible to integrate with the managing systems, such as Zabbix , Nagios, MRTG, Cacti , PRTG Network Monitor, Tivoli, HP OpenView, Wratsup, Big Brother, Castle Rock, OpenNMS, etc.

3) WEB interface: Via the built-in WEB interface you can watch a current status of the device and manage far off Equicom PING3 (see a sample).

4) Notification: Devices can generate and send warnings, by means of e-mail, the SMS (if there is a SMS gateway in the server) and SNMP.

5) Control / monitoring: status of sensors, management of power supply, functioning of a communication channel, ring-control of the IP addresses, remote monitoring.

Possibilities of some Equicom sensors:

Temperature sensor.

This cheap temperature sensor can control far off temperature from -40 °C to +125 °C about the accuracy of 2 °C. Ideally to detect problems the connected with temperature in premises with computers, such as air conditioning, sudden temperature jumps, overheating in server racks. The temperature sensor continuously reads out values, compares them to the set indicators of temperature and if necessary generates notifications by e-mail (or SNMP a ladder).

Sensor of existence 220B.

Joins before the uninterruptible power supply unit (UPSU). It can detect and announce (SNMP a ladder )  availability of tension in networks and power losses of the main accumulators. If you usually face voltage drops and if you want to be warned before your UPS is switched-off, then this sensor will help you.

Sensor of opening / closing.

The wire sensor of opening of a door (sealed-contact) is the magnetocontact annunciator intended for control of door and window openings and also other structural elements of buildings and constructions (server rooms, DPC, etc.).  It is connected to any idle line of the Equicom device and does not require in addition a power supply.

5 digital lines of I/O (4-TTL, 1-LVTTL level), each of which can be independently programmed on input or on an output. Two-level sensors can be connected to input lines: opening of a door, breaking glass, movement, fire warning. Output lines can be used for management of different loadings: lighting, sound signaling, electric motors, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Different operation modes of control links power supply
Ping mode is control of availability to 3 IP addresses and interruption of a power supply of load of the set interval at communication loss (a task of different logic functions for the analysis of answers from each IP address, flexible configuration of parameters of the sent ICMP of packets for each address). The mode is used for autonomous reset of the "hung-up" active network equipment. Reset of the equipment manually is also possible.
Analog mode is power management of loading depending on tension on the selected analog input (above or below border, or stay in the range of values)
The manual mode – independent load control in each channel at the command of the operator
Function of a security alarm – inclusion of a siren at operation at least one of two two-level sensors (only in firmware with the index "a" after version number)

Function of a security alarm in EQUICOM PING3 devices

In versions of firmware for PING3 which numbers are designated as 1.XXa (the letter "a" after version number) the function of a security alarm working on a tough algorithm is implemented. It implements autonomous inclusion of a siren at operation at least of one of two two-level sensors connected to the device. These versions it is necessary to consider as technology (temporary solution) therefore in documentation to major versions on them it is not mentioned. Below features of work of a security alarm are described.

 After updating of firmware to this version it is necessary to reset all settings of the device to values by default!


PWR1 channel is used for management of a siren, digital lines of DG1 and DG2 are used as inputs for connection of sensors of opening of doors. All places concerning PWR1, DG1 and DG2 are deleted from the WEB interface. Management through SNMP and Telnet is left (the last did not begin to be remade just – names of operation modes are not true there therefore it is necessary to use only SNMP). The positive polarity of voltage output in PWR1 channel is by default included, tension on a siren should be given through normally opened contacts of the relay, PING3 vstroyennog. For inputs of DG1 and DG2 logical 0 corresponds to the closed door, 1 – open.


For PWR1 only three modes make sense: 0, 1 and 2 (variable value of powerMode.1 with OID.1.3.6.1.4.1.35160.1.11.1.4.1 means). The modes can be switched by record of the corresponding value to this variable under the SNMP protocol.


0 – signaling worked (the door was open) 1 – an object is subprotection (the door is closed) 2 – function of protection is inactive


Mode 2 is by default included, in this mode the siren is switched off and the device does not react to opening of doors. To activate protection function, it is necessary to include mode 1.


In the mode 1 siren is switched off, function of protection is activated. When opening any of two doors (at emergence logical 1 on any of inputs of DG1, DG2) the siren joins and the device passes into mode 0.


In mode 0 the siren is included. The device continues is in this mode even after operation of both sensors of opening of doors is liquidated. It is possible to leave an izrezhima 0 only by manual switching in mode 1 or 2.


If it is required to send SNMP ladders at operation of a security alarm, then it is necessary to include them by record 1 in the powerOnTrap.1 variable (OID.1.3.6.1.4.1.35160.1.11.1.11.1)
