2024: Getting Started

On October 7, 2024, Kazakhstan commissioned the data processing center "Ereimentau" of the company "Kazteleport" (a subsidiary of JSC "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan"). The site will be used, among other things, for the further digitalization of the state and the development of customer IT projects.

The data center is located in a separate building in the center of Astana. Four machine rooms with a total area of ​ ​ 366 square meters and a capacity of 100 server racks are organized in the data center. The power per rack is from 7 to 14 kW.

The Ereimentau data center has been certified by the independent organization Uptime Institute in terms of reliability Tier III Design and Tier III Facility. For preventive maintenance and repair, it is not necessary to disconnect the equipment. The regulatory downtime for 12 months does not exceed 1.6 hours, and the availability of services is at the 99,982% level. Communication channels and IT equipment are duplicated. The facility is located in a protected and fenced area. Redundancy of components of critical engineering systems according to the N + 1 scheme, duplication of electricity distribution routes and coolant supply are implemented. The building is equipped with fire and physical safety systems.

The status obtained from the Uptime Institute confirms the high degree of security of the data center, equipment and data of customer companies. He also demonstrates that in real conditions, the performance and uptime of the data center will meet all international standards, says Kazteleport.

The new data center has equipped offices, special premises for the preparation, testing of equipment and repair work on the territory of the data center, convenient infrastructure for loading and unloading, as well as rooms for storing equipment and tools. Provides 24-hour access to servers. There is constant technical support in 24/7 mode.^[1]
