Delta Design is the versatile tool of development of electronic devices integrating different computer design aids.

2020: Delta Design 3.0

On June 5, 2020 the EREMEX companythe Russian software developer for design automation of the radio-electronic equipment – announced an official release of the next version of a CAD of REA Delta Design 3.0.

The release was preceded by almost two-month test stage of the beta of the Delta Design 3.0 system in which everyone took part. Testers of a system tested possibilities of Delta Design 3.0. All sent notes were attentively analyzed by development team, and already on May 18 there was an updated patch including both corrections of the found errors, and a number of functional completions.

The main difference of version 3.0 is the full integration of modules of analog (SimOne) and digital (Simtera) modeling. Besides, the topological editor of TopoR is completely integrated into it. Integration of all modules at one Delta Design platform allows to avoid additional converting at data transmission in the course of transition from one design stage to another. It considerably saves time and minimizes quantity of errors which are possible at data transfer between separate modules.

Two new modules – the CAM module which is responsible for verification and editing production files, and the module of an execution of the design documentation (DD) on a payment are also added to the Delta Design 3.0 system.

Responding to the numerous requests of users, the functionality of import of libraries from Altium Designer CAD is added to Delta Design 3.0. In the imported libraries graphic displays of components almost completely repeat and information on attributes is transferred.

In Delta Design 3.0 there is also a possibility of remote connection to Delta Design Enterprise Server for the organization of joint work of a great number of users of a CAD Delta Design in a common information space. It is especially relevant in the existing conditions when many developers are forced to work remotely from the house. The official version of Delta Design 3.0 is available to purchase. For those who did not manage to get acquainted with the latest version of Delta Design yet there is an opportunity to work with it during the trialny period (60 days).

2016

Delta Design 2.0

In this version there was a significant increase in functionality, in more detail about which it is possible to look in the history of changes. In modern development environments of radio-electronic devices joint work of the different specialists working both on functionality of the device, and on its appearance should be ensured. In this version of Delta Design abilities to integrate with programs of the companies "ASCON" and "TESIS" — partners in Consortium of domestic developers engineering are expanded software.

  • Double-sided data exchange with a CAD the COMPASS 3D in the IDF format: a payment circuit (including notches), the scheme of component placement (models or overall dimensions).
  • Transfer to KOMPAS-3D and LOTSMAN: The PLM list of elements and the expanded sheet of purchased products in a tabular format.
  • Data transmission in the DXF format for creation of the assembly drawing, a skhemyraspolozheniye of components and other drawings.
  • Data transmission for carrying out thermal modeling in the environment of FlowVision.

Users can continue to use all the practices - both libraries of electro-radioelements, and design data. In version 2.0 integration into the P-CAD system is improved. In spite of the fact that P-CAD is not updated more than ten years, many domestic enterprises continue to use this system.

Results of the works which are carried out in this direction

  • An opportunity to work with P-CAD libraries directly in Delta Design:
  • access to P-CAD libraries from the Manager of Delta Design libraries;
  • viewing all library data: components, UGO (including several UGO for multisection components), seats;
  • use of components in new projects without procedure of import.
  • Export of netlist in formats:
  • Keyin netlist (files of *.kyn);
  • PCAD netlist (files of *.net);
  • Tango netlist (files of *.net).
  • Possibility of consolidation in the uniform Delta Design project of files of the scheme (*.sch) and a payment (*.pcb).
  • Substantial increase of quality of import of libraries, schemes and payments from P-CAD for the account:
  • mass replacement of styles of UGO attributes;
  • mass removal of excess outputs to UGO;
  • lead trimming and conductors on a grid.

As a result for the client migration with P-CAD on Delta Design is considerably simplified. Moreover, it is possible to use during a transient period both systems at the same time.

For improvement of integration between different products of the company the following steps are taken.

  • Integration of SPICE models into Delta Design library.
  • Preparation of the scheme for modeling directly in the circuitry editor.
  • The button for a call of the program of modeling is created.

Communication with the editor of topology and the autotracer of TopoR is simplified — now transfer of a payment from Delta Design in the editor of TopoR is performed by clicking of the Open in TopoR button.

The set of standard delivery is expanded. Now it includes:

  • demonstration library with the most often applied at design of SPICE models (passive components, transistors, power sources, etc.);
  • demonstration projects for SPICE modeling.
  • demonstration project of the printed circuit board.

In addition to the above-mentioned, for last year in the Delta Design system the interface was improved, the master of creation of seats, etc. is finished.

The main changes of a system are connected with the editor of RightPCB printed circuit boards. A year ago the given editor was let out in the form of a prototype. At the moment RightPCB are a full-fledged editor of printed circuit boards who allows:

  • develop constructions of payments of any level of complexity (with a possibility of import from a mechanical CAD);
  • perform interactive trace of printing conductors and differential pairs under corners, multiple 45º;
  • control rules of design both at the time of trace, and at the request of the user;
  • create regions of change of rules of design on a payment;
  • to quickly browse information on communications of any couple of objects placed on a payment.

It should be noted that the editor of RightPCB is completely integrated into the Delta Design system that allows:

  • to automatically synchronize the developed scheme and a payment;
  • ensure parallel operation with subjects of the scheme and a payment;
  • use the same tools in different editors of a system.

In conclusion It should be noted that the EREMEX company presents the new software products allowing to organize joint network work in the Delta Design system.

Delta Design 1.1

On August 8, 2016 the Eremex company provided assembly of a CAD of Delta Design of version 1.1.

Additional functions were a part of assembly:

  • An opportunity to place a component copy on the scheme, and is later to appoint for it a specific radio component.
  • Conductors on the scheme can cross the bus (without connection).
  • The new mechanism of renumbering of components on the scheme.
  • When importing IDF the mechanism for step-by-step canceling of changes is implemented.
  • At placement of a polygon and the polyline an opportunity to record segment length is implemented.
  • Automatic control on layers of paste and a mask at change of parameters of a figure of a contact pad.
  • Additional check of connection of outputs on a payment.
  • Recalculation of borders of UGO in standards.
  • Automatic synchronization of structure of chains of the external bus of the block and group output of UGO of this block.
  • The Copy/insert commands for primitives in a seat.
  • Visible attributes in the editor of stamps for the report.
  • Operation of the instrument of placement of borders of the body is improved.
  • Unloading in IDF components and seats with special characters in names.
  • Function of automatic laying of chains in the circuitry editor is improved.
  • The mechanism of change of the connected chain to a mounting hole is finished.

Error correction and completion of mechanisms:

  • Work with the user layers.

  • Functionality of buses: errors are corrected, mechanisms of placement and connection of chains are improved.

  • Export in the Excellon format for non-standard openings.
  • Work of a tree of projects: archiving of untied data, attachment of files, incorrect removal
  • Shutdown of the buried contacts of a component.
  • Display of "needles" at turn of a thermobarrier.
  • Placement of the defined points in the field of metallization.
  • Formation of a template of rules on the basis of the project.
  • Transition to a panel of rules, at information display on two selected tracks.

2015: Delta Design

On November 10, 2015 the Eremex company announced release of software of a CAD of Delta Design.

Purpose of a product

  • provide an end-to-end design cycle of printed circuit boards, allowing to create and maintain databases of radio-electronic components;
  • develop circuit diagrams;
  • model work of analog and digital nodes of devices;
  • develop constructions of printed circuit boards;
  • place components and perform semi-automatic and automatic routing of printed circuit boards;
  • create and issue the design and manufacturing documentation.

Delta Design provides design by means of which high degree of safety of design data is reached, their integrity and unambiguity is guaranteed upon transitions between different development stages, the unified input of all information, necessary for design.

The manager of LIBerty libraries provides database maintenance of electronic components for the subsequent use in design process. For automated design of electric circuits the circuitry editor of Flexy S is provided. The management system for rules and technological limits on DRM is available to the user, it provides full control over project parameters.

The high-performance autotracer of TopoR printed circuit boards who is successfully used not only in Russia, but also abroad is a part of Delta Design.

A system has the intuitive interface created on the basis of methodological practices and modern software technologies.

Initially the product is created with support of the Russian state standard specifications, however we will combine with international standards.
