2025: Night Vision Complex Introduction with AR
JSC "Ekran FEP" is developing a night vision complex with augmented reality elements and the possibility of remote shooting. The technology is designed to significantly increase the safety and effectiveness of the actions of the Russian military in night conditions. The company announced this on September 23, 2025.
This project combines technologies of electron-optical converters, bolometric matrices and augmented reality, and also integrates with control and mapping systems obtained using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The key element of the complex is FLAG (FilmLess Auto Gated) non-flameless electron-optical converters, developed by Ekran FEP itself. This technology is highly sensitive and fast. In addition to the Novosibirsk plant, L3HARRIS, USA has similar serial technologies.
This complex will allow you to transmit dynamic information to the commanders' tablets and display information about the position of military personnel and the tactical situation in real time. A significant innovation will be the possibility of remote shooting while maintaining the maximum safety of fighters: fire control will be carried out without the need to protrude from cover.
We are on the verge of major changes in the field of night vision and combat systems. The experience of foreign countries has shown that development is not moving towards one universal technology, but towards complex hybrid solutions. Therefore, the main task of the company "Screen FEP" is to create a system that will combine the best technical developments and allow combining data from different sensors and information sources . For September 2025, we are developing a complex that is focused on elite groups operating in close coordination under the control of commanders. It is extremely important for a fighter to minimize the risk: remote shooting, when a weapon fires without revealing the position of the fighter himself, is a significant step in this direction. In addition, integration with intelligence systems, including UAVs, and the use of artificial intelligence to process information make our development unique. We strive to create a domestic product that can compete with foreign counterparts, but at the same time more accessible and adapted to the tasks of Russian power structures. This Russian solution will be able to compete with foreign counterparts at a much more affordable price and wide functionality. The company plans to introduce the complex into the units of the Ministry of Defense in order to increase the level of security and combat efficiency.
