2020: Project startup of FVNO
MegaFon starts the FVNO project (Fixed Virtual Network Operator) with participation of local internet-providers. The provider reported about it on January 21, 2020. The model virtual operator of broadband access will add own infrastructure of the company.
The business model provides monthly payments MegaFon to the partner operator for each connection thanks to what the local player will be able monetize already constructed, but not involved port capacity is 30-50% more effective. MegaFon undertakes advertizing support of the project, payment acceptance, customer service in a personal account and in own salons communications, sale of branded Wi-Fi-routers and Set-top boxes.
The FVNO project gives to Megafon the chance to display the convergent product 'Integrate!' to other regions. The model offered by us is absolutely transparent both for the territorial partner, and for subscribers who will be able to pay a set of services in the uniform personal account. Megafon started the convergent rate "Integrate!" including the wire Internet, digital TV and mobile services in August, 2019. Thanks to start of FVNO Megafon will expand geography of rendering the convergent services, and local providers will have an opportunity to increase income from core business.
One of operators of the Astrakhan region Real servicing more than 180 thousand households became the first partner of FVNO of Megafon. Inhabitants of the region can be connected to a tariff line now "Integrate!" under a brand of Megafon where are included the home Internet at a speed up to 300 Mbps, to 236 channels of digital service "Megafon TV", the unlimited mobile Internet, different options of packets of voice traffic and the cloud storage Megadisk of 1 TB.
