2021: Electric hypercar announcement
In September 2021, the Othello supercar was presented to the public, capable, according to the manufacturer - the Chinese company Farnova Automotive, of accelerating from 0% to 100 km/h in 1.8 s and up to 300 km/h in 8.5 s. A total of 200 copies were created, the acceptance of orders from potential buyers began. The cost of hypercar is 860,000 yuan (about 21 million rubles).
The sports car is equipped with a twin-engine system with a total capacity of 1835 hp. The battery capacity, oddly enough, is 75 kWh, which seems to be a very small figure for a car with such characteristics. For the hypercar, 1835 forces and 12,000 Nm are declared (most likely, the torque is indicated on the wheels, taking into account the gear ratio of the gearbox).
Dimensions - 4670/2080/1145 mm, with a wheelbase of 2670 mm, 1350 kg - the mass of a fully equipped car. The envelope is impressive with a wing folding behind and a large diffuser.
The interior is made in the style of minimalism with an oval steering wheel and a transparent dashboard. Racing seats are made by the German company Recaro.
Centrifugal brake is located on roof. In the images, the car is signed as Proto 1. The company plans to begin production of a sports car next year, and starting in 2023, Farnova plans to launch a line of electric SUVs, crossovers and sedans.
Farnova Automotive, founded in 2019, has an agreement with Qiantu Motors, the already famous manufacturer of the Qiantu K50 sports car. The agreement involves the construction of a plant in Changde (Hunan Province, China). According to rumors, Farnova Othello is based on the K50 chassis, although neither externally nor technically the cars intersect. So, the K50 had two electric motors with a combined recoil of 380 forces and 580 Nm, the Othello is noticeably more powerful.[1]
