The Gornaya GK division industryZyfra has developed a Smart Bucket solution. It is based on two products that allow you to artificial intelligence analyze the grain size distribution of rocks directly in the bucket, as well as monitor the state of its teeth. They are already used at one of the mining and metallurgical plants in. This was Uzbekistan announced on October 1, 2024 in the Zyfra Group of Companies, a domestic developer of digital solutions for industry.

The system "sifts" the stones through the "virtual sieve": determines the size of the fragments of the mined rock - both useful rock and exposed in the bucket, analyzes them and separates oversized pieces, and then sends a corresponding notification to the excavator operator and dispatcher. Analysis of grain size distribution is carried out in real time: the solution distributes rock fragments into fractions depending on the specified parameters, determines the percentage value of each category and calculates the average value of stone size. In addition, an analysis of the dependence of the duration of scoop cycles on the size of stones is automatically formed.

Due to the use of optimal grain size distribution, the cost of drilling and blasting operations is reduced: explosives are saved, the costs of secondary crushing are reduced and the productivity of equipment and equipment is increased.

We believe that granulometry will allow the most efficient miners to use equipment and explosives and, as a result, increase the efficiency of drilling and blasting operations by up to 3%. The second product makes it possible to continuously monitor the condition and presence of the teeth of the bucket itself and, in case of critical wear or loss of the tooth, informs the operator and dispatcher.

As a result, the risks of equipment and process line failure are reduced, as well as production losses for localization and search for a missing tooth. In addition, the product allows timely maintenance of excavators and increases the level of industrial safety.
