2020: Flyte announcement - incontinence devices

At the end of August 2020, Pelvital introduced the Flyte device to treat people with stress urinary incontinence. It is the first non-invasive intravaginal device of its kind for home use, designed to strengthen pelvic floor muscles.

According to the developers, Flyte is the only product that uses an area such as mechanical therapy to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor. The Flyte device was developed by doctors from the Arctic University of Norway and other researchers in related fields. In Norway and the United States, the device underwent two clinical trials, in which 200 patients participated. The results of the studies showed that within 2-12 weeks of treatment, the Flyte device completely or almost completely prevents stress urinary incontinence in these patients.

According to the researchers, Flyte is effective in mild, moderate or severe stress incontinence. At the same time, more than 90% of women in the additional survey (106 women in total) reported that Flyte is simple and convenient to use. The recommended time to use Flyte is 5 minutes per day for 6 weeks.

Flyte uses skeletal muscle's natural healing abilities to provide effective therapy. At the same time, the use of this device significantly saves the patient's time and costs, since it complements Kegel's exercises - the gold standard for conservative treatment of stress incontinence, "said Dale Wahlstrom, co-founder and CEO of Pelvital. - Flyte increases the curative impact of Kegel exercises, and patients see the result of treatment much earlier than with conventional treatment - instead of several months or years, therapy gives the result within a few days.
