2022: Digital Platform Announcement
In October 2022, it became known about the creation in Russia of a digital platform to support project activities in universities. This is the development of the Moscow Polytechnic University.
According to the developers of the system called Folipro, it will help schoolchildren choose a university based on the success of the university in the real economy, and students will be able to store and demonstrate information about the projects they have completed, which will give them an advantage when looking for a job.
It is also reported that universities receive effective tools to systematize and demonstrate the results of their project activities, and companies supporting universities - access to information about the experience and skills of students. This will allow employers to find talents and form professional personnel for themselves.
The first version of the project, developed for the Faculty of Information Technologies of the Moscow Polytechnic, included the functionality of demonstrating project passports and an interface for filling them out. Students created a system that made it possible to demonstrate the merits of project activities. Already at the initial stage, the system included over 100 projects, as well as functionality for their administration.
The second step was cooperation with the university, which has just begun to implement project activities and needs the solution proposed by the team. The main requirement for the system at the Higher Engineering School of the Russian University of Transport was the presence of a project exchange, which would automate the process of combining students into teams, appointing curators to projects and then distributing roles between participants.
By October 2022, more than 40 users were registered with Folipro, more than ten projects were entered and at least 30 applications were submitted for the proposed vacancies in each project.[1]
