In February 2022, in Tatarstan, the Sollers Ford plant began to produce American-type ambulances - with a modular superstructure on a cargo chassis.

According to the developers, the key advantage of sanitary cars with a frame-panel superstructure is the large capacity of the compartment for providing medical care. Compared to the original Ford Transit van, the modular ambulance is 300 mm longer, 300 mm wider and 50 mm higher.

This material has high wear resistance and environmental friendliness, is not afraid of moisture, withstands temperatures from - 60 to + 200 degrees, is resistant to corrosion and chemical reagents, is not exposed to detergents and disinfectants and ultraviolet radiation. Service life of the working module is not less than 10 years. The structure is designed in such a way that, if necessary, it can be easily transferred to another chassis.

The car is divided into 2 parts: a driver's cab with a 2-seater seat for personnel and a medical compartment with a rotary seat at the head of the stretcher and a side seat. Ambulances are equipped with everything necessary for transporting patients, resuscitation and providing emergency medical care to victims. Furniture of a new type, made using arceless modular technology, allows you to change the arrangement of shelves for convenient placement of medical equipment.

The manufacturer claims that a modular ambulance can correspond to any of the three classes of medical vehicles - using the new technology, you can create an intensive care unit, an emergency car, and a car for transporting patients, accompanied by medical staff. It is emphasized that the bet on a modular design will not lead to an increase in the loaded mass.^[1]
