2023: Product Announcement
On October 27, 2023, Fresenius Medical Care announced the completion of the first phase of analysis of the global database of patients who need dialysis. This is one step towards introducing artificial intelligence into dialysis systems.
Data analysis is the first stage in introducing AI into dialysis, which the company calls the Apollo project. The goal of the project is to improve the quality and outcome of treatment for patients with kidney disease. During the project, 540,000 dialysis patients were analyzed. The company said it was the largest longitudinal study in the world.
In the first phase of the project, the data synchronizes patient data and sends it to the cloud. The project collects data from 40 countries on more than 350 patient parameters. The project database contains almost 140 million cases of dialysis and 34 million laboratory tests.
The Apollo Data Base not only helps us advance our understanding of kidney disease and dialysis, it also provides us with high quality data relevant and relevant. These three data qualities - key to the development of our artificial intelligence - were commented on by Dr. Frank Maddax, a top manager at Fresenius. |
