2021: Announcement of a two-channel endoscope for use in the upper and lower sections of the GI
At the end of October 2021, Fujifilm released the first on the market two-channel endoscope for the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract EI-740D/S. The device allows the use of a number of endotherapeutic devices due to the double diameter of the channel of 3.7 mm and 3.2 mm. The 3.2 mm tool channel provides enhanced suction action, both when the device is inserted into the channel and without it. The function of the water jet helps visualization in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as promotes washing of the mucosa and endotherapeutic device from an instrument canal with a diameter of 3.2 mm.
The device is fully integrated with the endoscopic system ELUXEO Endoscopy System and the surgical system ELUXEO Surgical System from Fujifilm, which are equipped with a platform for visualization in 4K UHD formats, accommodates a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels, as well as Full HD accommodates 1080 improvements. This allows users to optimize the surgical room space and meets the new requirements of the American College of Surgeons for endoscopy.
The availability of EI-740D/S significantly expands the capabilities of gastroenterologists and colorectal surgeons in a wide range of therapeutic procedures. The gastroenterology in itself, represents one of sections of medical science studying the digestive tract (DT) of the person, feature of his building and functions and also various pathologies, techniques of their exact diagnostics and the subsequent treatment. We hope that with our device it will become easier for doctors, both to work and to make diagnoses to their patients around the world. Among the devices that can be used with the EI-740D/S: ClutchCutter, FlushKnife. Devices allow you to perform various operations from labeling to coagulation, "said Taisuke Fujita, vice president of endoscopy at Fujifilm Healthcare Americas, in a statement. |
The EI-740D/S control handle is modeled on the Fujifilm 700 series endoscopes, which are designed to increase comfort without interfering with control and reduce physician fatigue. The distal end part facilitates easy insertion and visualization of the device, and the angle of inclination of the endoscope 210 ° upwards and the short bending part allow precise manoeuvring of the endoscope to observe and treat various areas that are usually difficult to reach. The EI-740D/S endoscope is equipped with Linked Color Imaging and Blue Light Imaging options to improve damage detection and performance and aden[1]
