Product
Developers: Fujitsu
Date of the premiere of the system: February, 2015
Technology: Office equipment

February 17, 2015. The Fujitsu company announced release of the scanner which sets the new quality standards in a segment of network scanners. Thanks to more perfect central and graphic processor Fujitsu N7100 accelerates image processing within a worker thread approximately ten times in comparison with the of predecessors of N1800, allowing to browse results of scanning almost in real time and considerably reducing dead times. The new mechanism of active paper feed prevents a jam and provides reliable separation of sheets that allows to avoid loading of several sheets at the same time. Besides, the scanner is delivered with software of PaperStream and has USB ports for connection of the keyboard or the device for reading IC cards, and it helps to increase the level of automation and overall performance. This independent network scanner can work without connection to the computer, and all N7100 scanners installed in the company can be managed from the central panel of administration. The big touch screen of the device provides simple access to profiles of tasks on the basis of roles of users, simplifying integration into business processes. New Fujitsu N7100 will be shown at CeBIT exhibition 2015 (Fujitsu Square, hall 7, the A28 stand) from March 16 to March 20.

Network scanner Fujitsu N7100

Reduction of time of digitization by 50 percent

Fujitsu N7100 is equipped by more perfect central and graphic processors which accelerate image processing by 10 times, in comparison with the previous N1800 model. It allows to browse results of scanning almost in real time and saves from job queues. The new device scans the paper originals submitted from a tray with a speed of 25 pages per minute (A4, color, bilateral, with the resolution of 300 dpi / 50 images per minute) and is capable to transform almost instantly the unprocessed images to high-quality information without delays which are characteristic of many scanners offered today in the market. All this reduces the general time of digitization of information approximately by 50 percent and makes Fujitsu N7100 model the leader in the class.

System of active paper feed

The N7100 scanner is equipped with absolutely new system of active submission of originals with Brake Roller technology. As well as more expensive models of a corporate class, this system it is optimized under requirements of the working groups and provides reliable separation of sheets in the mixed packs of paper originals with a density from 40 to 209 g/m2 and even plastic cards.

Maintenance of efficiency of business processes

Among all scanners of Fujitsu of the fi series this network scanner offers the most impressive support of software of PaperStream which is intended for fast and high-quality image processing. Besides, the scanner has two USB ports for connection of peripheral devices (for example, keyboards), and using SDK (a set of development tools) it is possible to implement support of such devices as readers of IC cards.

Security first of all

As the N7100 scanner is intended for sharing by a great number of users within the working group, it offers such functions as password protection, enciphering, automatic removal of temporary these documents and the safe initialization which is not leaving any mark from these last users.

The new network scanner is delivered with software of Network Scanner Admin and Scanner Central Admin Console for centralized operation. It allows administrators to get access to separate network scanners or to be connected to the central server of administration for simultaneous setup and control of several N7100 scanners in the general network.

"Demand for network scanners grows — Mike Nelson, the vice president of PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Ltd told. (Fujitsu subsidiary company). — Fujitsu N7100 is created on the basis of N1800 model which deserved wide recognition of clients and develops its success, offering the companies and the state organizations of all sizes new and very useful opportunities".
"Even without connecting the scanner to the computer, clicking of only one button users can scan, save and send the document where it is necessary. And thanks to the increased processing speed undesirable dead times decrease" — Klaus Schulz, the marketing manager of PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Ltd explained. in EMEA region.
