• accepts notes, coins, payment cards and cards of loyalty;
• scales and the Metrologic scanners with a possibility of replacement by analogs of NCR or PSC are used.

The device conducts dialogue with the buyer in two languages: Russian and English, for choice. He not only consistently instructs an output to the device screen, but also accompanies with voice hints.

Technology of sales using U-Scan Self-Checkout

Buyers come with the selected purchases to the U-Scan terminal

Piece goods are scanned and develop on platform scales for purchases.

There is a solution with the scales which are built in a floor for purchases. In this case, the scanned goods develop directly in the product cart installed on scales.

There is a specialized version of scales for DIY, with the special holder for long logs, opportunities of simultaneous sale of lengthy and small, piece and weight goods.

U-Scan on weight automatic on-line exercises control of compliance of each goods scanned by the buyer with the goods placed on scales for purchases. A system studies the weight of goods and remembers automatically. Support of weight characteristics is not required by the cash program of the customer. Video control of purchases is in addition conducted by the cameras which are built in the terminal.

The weight goods are selected from the screen menu, weighed directly on the scales which are built in the terminal (scales scanner) and after determination of the price keep within on scales for purchases. U-Scan_Tel

It is impossible to take away goods from scales for purchases before payment – the signal light works.

The video series, parameters and rules of use of stations are monitored by the operator (1 to 6*8 lines).

After completion of scanning of all goods the buyer is offered to pay purchases with the permitted types of payments.

After payment the cash voucher is issued and the buyer can take away the purchases from the station.

Structure of the solution and principles of functioning of U-Scan Self-Checkout

The solution Fujitsu U-Scan includes the equipment and the software (further "software").

Software of U-Scan is the convenient "cover" allowing simply to use the professional cash program only in the modes, necessary for the buyer.

For implementation of U-Scan of retail network it is not required to change the accounting registers and programs – only the equipment of settlement point of sale changes – the classical cash register and a counter are replaced with the line of self-service.

In the course of implementation program integration of the cash software, usual for the customer, with U-Scan software is made that allows to exclude influence on trade ERP.
