2019: Announcement of Mural

On August 22, 2019 it became known that the GE Healthcare company provided AI for management of hospitals under the name "Mural" to simplify medical workflow for more effective care of patients, ENV with reference to The Korea Herald reported about it.

GE Healthcare provided AI for management of hospitals

As it was reported, Mural is started in seven hospitals in the USA, Great Britain and Canada. It expects approval of commercialization from the South Korean authorities. Korea University Hospital will become the first South Korean medical institute which will implement this system in two-three years.

Mural integrates the scattered data on the patients who are in hospital places priorities in information and warns health workers about the patient who needs the most first help and necessary treatment.

Clinical data of each patient are updated in real time on the Mural control panel, access to which can be got through the web browser on portable devices or computers. It allows to perform remote monitoring, considerably reducing transit time in large hospital at an urgent situation.

At John Hopkins's university, the first hospital in which the Mural system was applied waiting time of patients was considerably reduced and managed to provide up to 22 beds after the timely statement of the recovered patients. For August, 2019 the GE Healthcare AI system contains about 50 analytic functions which are responsible for different areas and constantly[1] extend[2].
