2025: Product Announcement

The software and hardware complex "Vzor" became the first solution in Russia for biometric identity identification by the iris of the eye. The technology, presented in March 2025 by the Azimut production company, part of the Rostec circuit, provides contactless human recognition with high accuracy in a few seconds. The development relies on methods comparable in reliability to DNA analysis and is designed for use in security and access control systems.

According to Rostec, PAC Vzor is a completely domestic development, including software. The equipment includes several modules, including a device for recording iris templates and a reader.

The first Russian iris identification complex was presented

The complex is designed to solve the problems of ensuring safety both at sensitive facilities and in places with high cross-country traffic. Depending on the configuration, the system can identify from 40 to 90 people per minute. An important advantage of the technology is the ability to recognize in motion, at a distance of up to one and a half meters, without the need for physical contact with the device. The accuracy of the determination is not affected by the presence of glasses or contact lenses.

Asker Saidov, General Director of the Azimut production company, said that the Vzor complex developed by the company's specialists provides the most reliable personal identification technology and is protected from illegal use of personal information. According to him, the original images of the iris are converted into a closed biometric template - a binary code that is stored in the scanner's memory and has no direct connection with the user's personal data. The leader stressed that in terms of accuracy, identification technology is second only to DNA analysis.

The complex has already undergone pilot operation at industrial facilities and in a number of law enforcement agencies. According to the test results, the Vzor PAC received positive reviews from the operators and successfully confirmed the technical characteristics laid down in it.[1]
