2022: Service Launch

On March 18, 2022, Gazprombank announced the launch of the GazpromPay payment service, which allows you to pay from any bank cards in online stores.

According to the press service of the credit institution, customers can link their existing bank cards to the wallet, as well as directly issue and replenish a virtual card in it (Gazprombank claims that the bank was the first to realize this opportunity in Russia). It is noted that the service is available on any smartphones and devices, for its use it is not necessary to download a separate application on the phone. On the payment page of purchases in the online store, you need to choose payment through GazpromPay, complete a simple registration, once link existing bank cards of any bank. For subsequent purchases through your wallet, GazpromPay will only need to confirm the transaction.

The bank noted that the wallet GazpromPay by March 18, 2022 already works on the sites of a number of online stores. In the immediate plans of the service team and Gazprombank - a significant expansion of the list of partners of online stores, as well as an expansion of the functionality of the service. Officially, the tool will begin to work on March 22, 2022.

As noted in Gazprombank, in March 2022, demand for reliable and stable Russian purse services increased. This happened after on March 10, 2022, the international payment systems Visa and Mastercard ceased to work in Russia, including through the services of Apple Pay and Google Pay. At the same time, the cards of the Russian payment system "Mir" are supported by Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. Sberbank and VTB also have their own payment services.^[1]
