GeoSplit Technology

Product
Developers: GeoSplit
Last Release Date: 2022/12/19
Branches: Gas Industry,  Petroleum Industry

GeoSplit technology, used to diagnose and monitor the flow profiles of horizontal wells, is based on the use of quantum reporter markers and machine learning algorithms for automated interpretation of well fluid sample analysis results.

GeoSplit is a gas marker that provides a constant stream of well interval productivity data over several years without shutting down or changing well behavior. The technology contributes to the digitalization of the field, and the combination of GeoSplit data with geological information leads to increased efficiency not only at the level of individual wells, but also at the level of the field as a whole, thereby solving the problem of localizing residual reserves.

2022: Cement Monitoring Solution for Oil and Gas Wells

Resident Company GeoSplitSkolkovo has presented a solution for long-term monitoring of the integrity and tightness of well cement oilgas. A fundamentally different approach allows maintaining the integrative integrity of wells, which is a prerequisite for ensuring safe, rational and efficient production of hydrocarbons. The Skolkovo Foundation announced this on December 19, 2022.

This approach is to introduce marker material into the cement slurry during the well construction phase. The specially developed composition of the marker granulate makes it possible to identify the leakage interval without additional downhole studies.

Dynamic marker monitoring systems allow you to solve many tasks, from well integrity control to effective field development management. New solutions in the field of marker diagnostics are an element of the intelligent well monitoring system for obtaining extensive diagnostic information.

One of the vectors of our company's technological development is aimed at expanding the portfolio of products and services that will cover all Upstream and Midstream segments. This method covers the well construction segment, the tasks of which are to identify the sources of behind-the-casing flows and determine the direction of flow through the annular space. The effectiveness of the new product is confirmed by filtration tests carried out in cooperation with one of our customers,
noted Evgeny Malyavko, Technical Director of GeoSplit.

One of the key elements of the well support that ensures its tightness is cement stone. Poor cementing of wells at the stage of their construction, complex thermobaric conditions and aggressive formation environments can lead to inter-bed overflows, premature flooding and environmental pollution. Traditional methods of field geophysical surveys to assess the technical condition of wells require stopping production and conducting downhole operations.
