2020: Restart of the plant for production of ventilators

At the end of March, 2020 the Tesla company announced that the plant in New York which was earlier making solar panels restarts. Now on it will be mute production of the medical ventilators developed by Medtronic is started.

The CEO of Medtronic Omar Ishrac announced that the company will increase production of ventilators and already releases 250 devices a week. Using Tesla the Medtronic company will be able to double performance and to ensure functioning 24/7 within fight against COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The co-founder and the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk announced earlier that he led the "long technical discussion" with the management of Medtronic concerning production of ventilators. Musk also reported on Twitter blog that in case of the shortage of medical devices the Tesla company will join their production.

Because of a coronavirus pandemic a number of the companies began to increase production of medical devices, and such concerns as the producer of cars of GM, were engaged in re-equipment for a while to switch to release of devices for IVL. In turn Medtronic was uploaded publicly by a number of developments on ventilators that allows startups, to investors, producers and academic institutions to accelerate design and production of similar devices.[1]
