2020: Announcement of Google Meet Series One - AI equipment for video conferences

In the middle of September, 2020 Google provided a new set of the equipment for video conferences - Google Meet Series One. The line of devices was developed together with Lenovo, developers used high-quality cameras and microphones and also technologies.

The new set of devices functions based on the Google Meet platform, it is a crucial element in maintenance of effective work of all system, in many respects using the same technologies which are used in cloud data processing centers of Google. The set is equipped with the accelerating modules Coral M.2 and Edge TPU. It allows to use onboard processing of audio and video on the basis of artificial intelligence for ensuring both the high performance, and confidentiality.

Google released the AI equipment for video conferences, cost is from $2699 to $3999

Each set of Series One includes the normal 12-megapixel or increased 20.3-megapixel intelligent camera. Besides, existence of the 10.1-inch controller with the touch screen, the computing system and also an intellectual sound panel is supposed.

The sound Smart panel Audio Bar включает eight microphones, it supports processing of 44 channels at the same time. The technology can strengthen a human voice and filter extraneous noise using the solution TrueVoice.

Depending on a set control of video meetings can be exercised with the help of the rechargeable remote control or 10.1-inch touch screen. Both devices support Google Assistant therefore users can manage work with the help of voice commands.

Set cost for the small premises which includes the intelligent camera an audiopanel, the computing system and the remote control will be $2699. Set cost for the average hall will be $2999, for the big hall - $3999. The equipment will be available in two flowers - black and white, the preorder, according to Google, will be open "in the nearest future".[1][2]
