2021: Availability for all GridGain and Apache Ignite users
On November 1, 2021, GridGain Systems, a provider of enterprise in-memory computing solutions based on Apache Ignite's distributed database, announced that GridGain Nebula, the company's cloud computing service with pay-as-you-go, is now available to all users of GridGain and Apache Ignite. Previously, Nebula was available only to fairly large enterprises in the world. GridGain offers a more efficient, secure, and cost-effective way to run Apache Ignite in a production environment. GridGain Nebula is a Solution SaaS that simplifies the configuration, preparation, management, optimization, and scaling of in-memory computing software. With Nebula, application developers can spend less time managing the environment and focus on building the high-performance, scalable applications their companies need for technological growth.
GridGain Nebula is the second cloud SaaS product that GridGain released in 2021. The first was GridGain Control Center, which allows administrators and DevOps engineers to optimize troubleshooting, management, and monitoring of their local or cloud Ignite deployments. Both services are available through the GridGain portal, a centralized location for all cloud GridGain products.
"As one of the creators of Apache Ignite and the person who wrote the first lines of its code, I realize how much time and effort it took to develop a more scalable and productive Ignite configuration in the cloud. GridGain Nebula was created as an answer to this challenge. This product is a key that gives engineers the ability to implement up-to-date computing technologies in memory every day, " says Nikita Ivanov, founder and technical director of GridGain. |
The in-memory computing platform GridGain provides fast enough, scalable to data , and real-time access for both legacy and current applications. Software A GridGain deployed on a distributed cluster of standard databases servers can reside between application and data tiers (P, DBMS NoSQL, and) Apache Hadoop without having to copy and replace existing databases. It can also be deployed as a distributed database for high-performance computing in-memory at speed.
Features of Nebula GridGain:
- Users can run clusters in their selected cloud in minutes. The GridGain Nebula Configuration Wizard helps users choose the optimal configuration for their workloads.
- Ability to build high-performance, scalable applications-The Nebula team manages all operational tasks, such as software updates, patch releases, monitoring, initialization, disaster recovery, and performance optimization. GridGain provides 24/7 service, so developers can focus entirely on building their Ignite-based solutions.
- Achieve optimal performance and scalability-The Nebula team constantly monitors and optimizes the environment to proactively adapt to changing application loads and comply with SLAs. Integrated monitoring is available for those who would like to keep track of their key performance indicators.
- Support availability everywhere and anytime - With extensive experience and proven practices, the GridGain Nebula team ensures 24/7 availability of mission-critical applications. Rigorous backup and disaster recovery strategies prevent data loss and provide fast recovery in the event of a data center failure.
- Ability to encode using the Apache Ignite API. Nebula uses the same APIs as Apache Ignite, so developers can easily move between Ignite and Nebula instances and vice versa if required.
- Support for multi-cloud and hybrid architectures - the ability to create multi-cloud and hybrid solutions that connect Nebula GridGain with local Ignite deployments. Ability to store data anywhere and synchronize clusters in real time with Nebula data center replication.
