2024: Product Announcement

On April 22, 2024, it became known about the creation of the Gyurza drone suppressor, equipped with artificial intelligence, thanks to which the system can independently conduct electronic warfare with enemy drones. We are talking about the development of the research and production enterprise (NPP) "Geran."

As the general designer of NPP "Geran" Oleg Zhukov told TASS, "Gyurza" is already used by the Russian army in the zone of a special military operation in Ukraine. According to the interlocutor of the agency, the AI algorithms embedded in the device allow him to independently make a decision on turning on and off the necessary radio cancellation frequencies.

It became known about the creation of the Gyurza drone suppressor

Zhukov called the introduction of artificial intelligence in electronic warfare systems justified, since these technologies have already shown their high efficiency. When detecting enemy drones, "Gyurza" in automatic mode suppresses their electronic systems, not paying attention to extraneous signals and noise. When enemy drone signals stop being recorded, the electronic suppression system is automatically turned off, the Geran general designer said.

The weight of the antidron is 25 kg. The product is capable of operating in 10 frequency bands. The jamming range is up to 1,500 meters depending on the conditions.

Commenting on the appearance of Gyurza in the Russian military, drone expert Alexei Chadaev, in a conversation with the National News Service, noted that this development came in handy, since Ukraine has high-range drones that pose a threat to a number of regions of the Russian Federation.[1]
