HEVC Pro Card is the video adapter for the LiveU LU600 transmitter. It is intended for transfer to the air of news and event content.
On April 25, 2017 the LiveU company provided the video card HEVC Pro Card.
Main characteristics of the video card:
- the quality of video in format 1080/4K based on broadcasting technologies of coding with support of VR and 360 °
- low power consumption: transmitter operating time from the battery 4 hours
- functions of fast changing of bitrate and permission at real-time operation, provide a possibility of video streaming at low capacity of available communication channels
- work with HEVC and H.264 codecs
- the Live & Store mode, allows broadcasters to air on the most difficult conditions, saving the copy of video in high resolution for the subsequent use.
An opportunity to integrate the portable encoder with video card 4K HEVC is a break of the industry. The video card allows to spend less traffic and to achieve quality of video in unstable networks. Thereby, the card answers requests of the international broadcasters which need to broadcast HD and 4K/UHD of video live, to requirements of the regional broadcasting organizations transferring stream video from areas with poor communication. We see the product potential for broadcast of sporting events and other important events, such as extras of news be live. Samuel Wasserman, CEO of LiveU |
Replacement of the video card in LU600 on HEVC Pro Card will help broadcasters to provide quality of video, spending at the same time almost twice less traffic, than it was required during the work with the H.264 codec.
