The Chinese company Haier has introduced a humanoid home robot capable of performing various household functions, including cooking, ironing clothes, cleaning rooms and folding clothes. The device is called HIVA Hai Wa and is positioned as a comprehensive home assistant for automating household processes. The presentation of the robot took place at the end of July 2025.

According to heyupnow, the new home robot has anthropomorphic characteristics: height is 165 centimeters, weight - 70 kilograms. The device is equipped with 44 mobility points, which ensures high maneuverability and naturalness of movement during various tasks.

The design of the robot provides for the use of a wheeled platform for movement instead of the traditional two-legged system. Such a technical solution increases the stability of the device and reduces the risk of damage during operation at home.

Robot manipulators provide a working range from floor level to a height of two meters. This allows the device to perform tasks at various levels of living space, including working with the lower and upper shelves of furniture, as well as access to household appliances of different heights of placement.

The functionality of "HIVA Hai Wa" includes cooking, which requires precise movements and understanding of technological processes. The robot is able to use kitchen utensils and interact with household appliances to perform culinary tasks.

The device demonstrates the ability to integrate with other home appliances. The robot can interact with the washing machine, determining the completion of the washing cycle, after which it removes the laundry, irons with a specialized iron, folds things and places them in appropriate storage places.^[1]
