2018: Opening of access to the HPE InfoSight functions
On November 15, 2018 Hewlett Packard Enterprise the company (HPE) announced opening of access to the HPE InfoSight functions – the management tool infrastructure using artificial intelligence (AI) – for servers HPE ProLiant, computing modules HPE Synergy and systems HPE Apollo. Using opportunities of the global platform predictive analytics self-training on the basis of real data on functioning of hundreds of thousands of products HPE, HPE InfoSight installed worldwide, according to the developer, reduces operating expenses, increases performance of IT systems and releases time which IT specialists can use for creation of innovations.
As explained in HPE, in the conditions of modern business where reliable and quick access to data for adoption of important solutions in real time comes out on top, the IT organizations aim as it is possible to automate stronger operation of IT systems with observance of best practices on performance and availability. The tools capable managed by artificial intelligence constantly can help them control IT infrastructure, to reveal potential problems and to propose their solution.
Such tool, according to the developer, is HPE InfoSight. Thanks to the analysis of millions of the hardware and program sensors united in global base, and use of algorithms of identification of patterns in behavior of systems for forecasting and prevention of problems, it helps to make infrastructure more intellectual and simple in management. It collects operational data on infrastructure and then offers information on trends, forecasts and recommendations that promotes increase in efficiency and reliability of business applications of customers.
According to the statement of the developer, opening of access to HPE InfoSight opportunities for servers creates a single working platform based on AI which monitors, collects and analyzes extensive telemetered informations on all infrastructure. Use of the HPE InfoSight functions on the ProLiant servers, the computing modules Synergy and the Apollo systems opens a number of opportunities which will extend over time:
- Evident representation of a server framework. The control panel allows the customer to gain a full impression about a status and the status of its server framework and also information on work of systems, guarantees for servers and the right to support. HPE InfoSight integrates in itself possibilities of AI and Active Health System (AHS) and HPE Integrated Lights Out (iLO) technology for pro-active condition monitoring and control of servers, thereby optimizing overall performance and preventing critical problems.
- Predictive analytics. Thanks to predictive analytics for monitoring of servers, InfoSight gives an idea of the reasons of malfunctions in different parts and on joints of parts of IT infrastructure. It allows IT heads to reduce a downtime, eliminating or even preventing hardware and program malfunctions quicker, than they I will be able to influence business work. Moreover, using such analytics heads obtain operational information about security of servers, for example, attempts of unauthorized login.
- Recommendatory engine. Using information obtained thanks to predictive analytics, InfoSight also makes to IT specialists recommendations for elimination of bottlenecks in the capacity of servers.
HPE InfoSight improves management of IT infrastructure in general, supplementing the HPE OneView tools. HPE OneView undertakes resource management of IT on the basis of templates for their fast deployment under specific objectives.

HPE InfoSight will become available to the HPE ProLiant servers, the computing modules HPE Synergy and the HPE Apollo systems worldwide in January, 2019.
