2020: HP Engage One Pro

On November 23, 2020, HP Inc. introduced HP Engage One Pro, a cash terminal. The Engage One Pro model complements HP's portfolio of POS terminals and is an all-in-one solution designed specifically for retail stores, restaurants, and hotels.

According to the company, modern cash terminal systems are designed taking into account versatility and reliability, improving the consumer experience. 86% of retail representatives trade call design an important criterion when choosing POS terminals, and 67% believe that the durability of devices is a key factor in meeting the requirements of the retail environment. In particular, the device must include a large number of configurations for working in self-service systems and meet modern strict requirements for sanitary treatment. These features became even more important during the time, pandemics as enterprises HoReCa strive to accelerate the introduction of self-service points. The Engage One Pro with three display sizes and an interface cabling system is versatile, freeing the counter from peripherals that are now integrated directly into the POS system.

Engage One Pro POS is another example of how companies can optimize in-store sales with a powerful, multi-function device that provides scalability, flexibility, and customization. Engage One Pro is designed for a variety of workflows and use cases and can be used in a variety of environments. Companies from various vertical industries, for example, representatives of the tourism and transport, healthcare and banking sectors, will now be able to offer services of an appropriate level.

Engage One Pro, with its intelligent design and aluminum enclosure, offers an interface cable system that frees up more space at the box office. The solution also allows you to adjust the tilt and orientation of the display, allowing you to choose landscape or portrait mode and adjust the screen by height.

With up to 10th generation Intel Core i9 processors, transactions are fast. The device offers personalized customization, as well as the ability to collect critical analytical data through improved machine vision technology and deep learning algorithms.

The Engage One Pro POS system consists of three models with different screen sizes. The terminal provides the possibility of deployment both in the format of a classic device at points of sale, as well as in the form of an interactive kiosk or self-service terminal and can be installed on the counter rack or on the VESA mount. The 24-inch model will allow companies to attract customers using interactive advertising and more convenient self-service systems.

Engage One Pro is part of HP's portfolio of secure POS systems and meets the requirements of defense industry standards, including frequent sanitation.

HP Engage One Pro POS system will be available for order in Russia in December 2020.

2019: HP Engage One Prime Announcement

A few days before the start of the largest innovation exhibition for  retail NRF  2019: Retail's Big Show, which will begin work on January 13, the company HP Inc. introduced a new cash terminal designed for small retailers and. to hotels A device called HP Engage One Prime is based on. to the operating system Android

The POS system is equipped with a built-in magnetic card reader, a receiving NFC module and a barcode scanner based on a digital camera.

Customers can choose from different HP Engage One Prime configurations based on processor performance, RAM, persistent memory, and optional peripherals.

The novelty supports EMV  - an international standard for  bank card transactions  with a chip, developed jointly by Europay, MasterCard and Visa to  increase the level of security of financial transactions. Such support is implemented in cooperation with companies, including PayPal.

HP Engage One Prime

The partnership will PayPal lead to the fact that the two companies will offer joint customers a set of equipment, POS software, payment processing system, support services and pre-configuration. HP states that the company intends to work with other partners in the payment services market, as well as with independent software manufacturers to integrate their POS software with the HP Engage One Prime system.

The product will go on sale in February 2019. Its cost at the time of the announcement is not announced.

Aaron Weiss, Vice President and Managing Director of Retail Solutions at HP, noted that Engage One Prime is not addressed to small and medium-sized businesses: it was these customers that the company began to focus on by the beginning of 2019.[1]
