HP P6000 EVA

The new generation of disk arrays of the HP P6000 EVA family is provided by two models: P6300 EVA and P6500 EVA. These storage systems are constructed based on technology of SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) and support disks of small (SFF) and a big (LFF) form factor of different capacity – from 146GB to 2TB. Unlike former arrays of Enterprise Virtual Array, P6500 EVA are equipped both with Fibre Channel ports of 8 GB / c, and Ethernet ports of 10 GB / c or in 1 GB / c that in addition allows to connect servers under the iSCSI and FCoE protocols.

The software of HP of P6000 Command View includes the free option Thin Provisioning which helps to reduce requirements to the volume of disk space, the number of hard drives and, therefore, to reduce costs on power supply and conditioning of server. Local and remote replication using HP P6000 Business Copy and HP P6000 Continuous Access does possible creation of disaster-proof data processing centers, provides the continuity of business processes and guarantees high availability of crucial applications of your enterprise. In the new version of software of P6000 Business Copy dynamic migration of logical volumes is supported now that allows to change on the fly such characteristics of LUN as the size, placement on physical disks or the RAID type.
