On April 15, 2014 the Hewlett-PackardHP company provided a product of HP of Reputation Security Monitor (RepSM).

Description

Use of a product provides the maximum degree of security and reduces risks for business. The solution helps to detect and block data exchange between hosts from which harmful operations, and the struck infrastructure are performed that does possible to reveal the most undercover attacks.

Specific Features

For each of harmful hosts information is defined:

• Reputation rating — from 1 to 100; score at the level of 100 is assigned to the IP addresses or host names with most of which of all cases of the harmful attacks are connected;
• Types of reputation of hosts — indicate to what category the identified host or the IP address belongs: botnet, malware, spam, phishing, etc.;
• The geographic location — from where occurs threat.

In total this information helps to place priorities of vulnerabilities and threats in the context of risks for business. Comparing reputation data with information and the events connected with security, RepSM helps to be focused on the threats representing the greatest risks and also to identify and prevent sending valuable intellectual property for those websites which have bad reputation.

RepSM combines possibilities of HP of ArcSight ESM with functions of timely comparison to the checked reputation bases from DVLabs to raise the quality level of control and to prevent risks for security systems.
