2023: Product Creation
In March 2023, a Russian portable inhaler for respiratory resuscitation outside hospitals was presented. We are talking about the development of the scientific center "Applied Chemistry (GIPH)," which is part of the state corporation "Rostec."
The device is a chemical oxygen generator in a heat-protective case with a breathing mask. Inside the case there is a compact generator (diameter - 70 mm, length - 200 mm) with a solid chemical source of pure oxygen based on sodium chlorate.
The generator in the inhaler weighs just over 700 grams, it has a small body. At the same time, a solid chemical source provides 120 liters of oxygen, which is enough for 20 minutes of breathing for one patient.
Rostec said that the device developed by GIPH specialists is designed to provide first aid to victims of accidents, emergencies, as well as during hostilities.
Portable oxygen generators are indispensable for specialized medical transport, on the scene of accidents, disasters and hostilities. They allow you to restore and maintain the breathing of victims when providing pre-medical medical care. Saving people's lives is an extremely important task, especially today, "said Konstantin Zvinenko, head of the GIPH laboratory. |
The product is developed on the basis of a serial GIPH aircraft oxygen generator, which is used in emergency systems of civil and military aviation. The method of producing oxygen in such devices is based on thermocatalytic decomposition of the solid working substance. GIPH is the developer and only manufacturer of aircraft oxygen generators in Russia at such a source, Rostec said on March 21, 2023.[1]
