2018: Entry into the market

At the end of December, 2018 Omron Healthcare released as the company claims, the first-ever hours with function of measurement of arterial blood pressure HeartGuide.

HeartGuide is the oscillometric device for measurement of pressure intended for personal use. In a thong for the watch there is a cup which allows to measure systolic and diastolic pressure with an adequate clinical accuracy, the producer states.

Besides, HeartGuide keeps track of physical activity, including quantity of steps, the passable distance, the burned calories and sleep quality. A system is intended for connection to free mobile application of the company for monitoring of a way of life and assessment of cardiovascular health.

Representatives of Omron consider the new device by break for this category and the key moment of a campaign for prevention of a stroke and a myocardial infarction. As arterial blood pressure fluctuates during the day, regular self-checking allows users to take immediately measures in response to change of indicators. And permanent objective monitoring promotes more productive dialog between the patient and the doctor for development of new techniques of treatment of a hypertension and achievement of the best results.

The increased arterial blood pressure – the serious upgradeable risk factor connected from 60% of death of persons of working-age, especially among those who for any reason are not observed by doctors. Researches show that regular self-checking can reduce risk of a stroke by 20%, and risk of coronary heart disease and development a myocardial infarction for 10%. The president and the chief executive of Omron Healthcare Ranndy Kellogg reminded in the press release that creation of watch of HeartGuide and the HeartAdvisor application is intended to reduce this risk and to save a set of lives.[1]
