2023: App crash 'nullified and arrested' users' accounts

According to the news agency, users of the Homebank application complained that during the failure, the available amount was not displayed in the accounts - the balance was zero. Also, some users allegedly arrested accounts.
According to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, "Halyk Bank" as of January 1, 2023 took first place in terms of assets among 21 banks in the country. By April 2023, the People's Bank of Kazakhstan is controlled by the daughter and son-in-law of the first president of Kazakhstan Dinar and Timur Kulibaeva through Almex Holding Group JSC (69.52%), the nominal holder is The Bank of New York with a share of 28.51%.
