2019: Start of service

At the beginning of May, 2019 the Marriott company which owns more than 7 thousand hotels in the different countries  started service of lease of housing. The competitor of Airbnb received the name Homes & Villas by Marriott International.

For project launch for lease over 2 thousand premium real estate and luxury which are located in the USA, the countries of Europe, the Caribbean Region and Latin America are offered.

In particular, users can lodge in a cottage with four bedrooms in an environment of vineyards on section almost in six hectares in California, on a country house on the ocean coast in Anguilla with the private beach, the personal butler and personnel.

Besides, are available the Irish lock of the 18th century with the private lake to driving by boats and fishings, the house with six bedrooms in London with the children's game room and a wall to rock-climbing.

Participants of the loyalty program   of Marriott Bonvoy can earn points and exchange them for bonuses when using Homes & Villas by Marriott International. Users  earn points from the same conditions, as in hotels of brands Marriott at long accommodation — 5 points for each spent $1.

The Homes & Villas by Marriott International service is started together with management companies which represent the real estate which is selected for the project. These partners of Marriott offer guests net houses with the round-the-clock support, high-speed Internet access through Wi-Fi, bed linen and toilet accessories of a premium class.

Entry of Marriott into the market of lease of housing began with the pilot project of 2018 which was implemented by one of divisions of the company — Tribute Portfolio Homes. Among the guests who reserved housing within this pilot project which was available only in several European cities of nearly 90% were participants of the Marriott Bonvoy program, and more than 75% from them traveled together with family and friends.[1]
