2019: Announcement

On August 10, 2019, Huawei introduced the Honor Vision TV, which became the company's first device on its own Harmony OS operating system.

The novelty received a 55-inch display, which occupies 94% of the front surface area. The screen has a resolution of 3840  x  2160 pixels, support for HDR technology, brightness of 400 nits, viewing angles of 178 degrees and 87 percent coverage of NTSC color space.

Honor Vision TV was the first Huawei device running the company's own OS

There is support for basic operating modes (standard, soft, cinema, sports, children's, games, photos). The device is certified by the German regulator TUV Rheinland in terms of protection against blue radiation.

The hardware basis of the TV is the four-core Honghu 818 processor with the Mali-G51MP4 graphics accelerator. Memory capacity is 2 GB, the capacity of the built-in storage is 16 or 32 GB, depending on the version.

Among the functions used, Sharp Tech stands out - a smart retractable camera equipped with a neural chip HiSilicon Hi3516DV300, which takes on such intelligent functions as facial recognition, body position tracking and user posture. 

According to the manufacturer, the TV can go out of standby in 1 second and boot in 2 seconds. In the thinnest part, the thickness of the metal body is only 6.9 mm.

The technical equipment also included 4 or 6 speakers on 10 W (with sound effects of Huawei Histen), wireless communication Wi-Fi 802.11n (2.4 and 5 GHz)  2  × 2 and Bluetooth 5.0 LE, three HDMI 2.0 connectors, one USB 3.0, one AV and Ethernet network interface.

The manufacturer called the cost of Honor Vision TVs  in the Chinese market - from 3,799 yuan ($538). Their sales will start on August 15, 2019.[1]
