2021: Announcement of the first electric car with a range of 1000 km
At the end of November 2021, Huawei introduced the Sers SF5 electric crossover at the Shanghai Motor Show, the car will be sold through its flagship stores throughout China. The SF5 was developed jointly with Cyrus and will be sold under the Sers brand. Deliveries should begin in December 2021, and the cost starts at $33 thousand.
The crossover is equipped with a high-tech infotainment system, which, according to the developers, connects to smartphones in a matter of seconds and automatically transmits music and navigation information between them. There is also voice recognition technology and an audio system with 11 speakers and two subwoofers. Moving into the cabin, drivers will find a digital instrument panel located behind the double-spoke steering wheel. The model also has a wooden finish, metal accents and a rotary gear switch. Among other features, this is the ambient lighting system, roof hatch and front seats with the functions of heating, ventilation and massage. Engineers paid special attention to reducing noise, vibration and stiffness. As part of this effort, the model is equipped with a two-layer front glass and a large number of sound absorbing materials. The company claims that thanks to them, the noise level in the cabin is only 38 decibels at idle.
Seres SF5 is equipped with a millimeter wave radar, ultrasonic sensors and a number of cameras. The devices allow you to use adaptive cruise control, a traffic assistance system, automatic emergency braking, lane centering and front collision prevention. The model is equipped with a new electric drive range expansion system, which was developed by Huawei and Sers.
This exciting announcement sets a precedent for both the consumer electronics industry and the new energy vehicle industry. In the future, we will not only provide leading solutions for smart cars to help partners create better smart cars, but also help them sell these cars through our retail network throughout China, "said Richard Yu, Executive Director, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group. |
The Huawei DriveONE 3-in-1 system not only increases autonomy, but also allows you to increase the performance of electric motors to the level of world-class models. The new SUV combines the city mode with a range of 180 km and an extended range mode with a range of more than 1 thousand km. The model is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which works as a generator. The electric car received a light aluminum chassis and four ball hinges, a front suspension on double transverse levers and a multi-link rear suspension, providing faster acceleration, smoothness of travel, and stability on the road. At the same time, the Sers SF5 is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.68 seconds.
The emergency recharge mode allows you to recharge the battery of another electric car. It is also possible to use a battery of an electric vehicle to provide energy to external consumers, for example, in a campsite, for induction plates, stereo systems and other equipment during long journeys. The Sers SF5 is equipped with sports front seats with ventilation, heating and massage functions, as well as the ability to personalize settings for a more comfortable fit and exit from the car.[1]
