SATEL received the FSTEC certificate on firewalls of Huawei 4 classes of protection

On March 28, 2019 the SATEL company announced certification of firewalls of development of Huawei company on the fourth class of protection.

The certificate confirms compliance to requirements FSTEC Russia to firewalls of types A and B of the fourth class of protection that allows to apply them in state the organizations with the highest requirements to a class protection of confidential information and objects of the critical information infrastructure importance of high categories.

The Russian legislation obliges to certify the information protection software and hardware (IPSH), including firewalls which are used concerning confidential and personal data in the state information systems. Existence of the certificate is an indispensable working condition with state structures and allows to apply data protection products in the state processing systems of personal data. The certificate guarantees that means of protecting conform to requirements of the legislation and FSTEC of Russia.

The certificate of conformity of FSTEC No. 4083 was issued SATEL companies on February 04, 2019. At certification works on the analysis of source texts of the software of firewalls were carried successfully out. The certificate confirms that firewalls of the Huawei USG series (models: USG6320, USG6330, USG6350, USG6360, USG6370, USG6380, USG6390, USG6620, USG6630, USG6650, USG6660, USG6670, USG6680, USG9560, USG9580) and the corresponding Huawei Eudemon models, the versions of V500 developed by Huawei company conforms to requirements for security of information, the set documents: "Requirements to firewalls" (FSTEC of Russia, 2016); "Profile of protection of the firewall of A type of the fourth class of protection. IT.ME.A4.P3" (FSTEC of Russia, 2016); "Profile of protection of the firewall of B type of the fourth class of protection. IT.ME.B4.PZ" (FSTEC of Russia, 2016).

The certified firewalls will be able to implement now the organizations to which the regulator makes greatest demands on the security levels of information systems.

Means of protecting which SATEL produces serially based on the equipment of development of Huawei are included into the State register of the certified information security tools of FSTEC. Existence at SATEL of all necessary licenses for serial release of the certified PTSZI allows customers to purchase already certified equipment and to reduce a time available for delivery of automated systems and their commissioning.

Certification of firewalls of USG6000 and USG9500 series in FSTEC of Russia

On March 13, 2019 the Huawei company reported that on firewalls of USG6000 and USG9500 series the certificate of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC of Russia) was received. Certification confirms compliance of solutions to requirements of FSTEC of Russia to firewalls of types A and B of the fourth class of protection.

As noted in Huawei, the company aims to develop such solutions which not only conform to high requirements in the field of security, but also help the companies to protect the data. Firewalls of USG6000 and USG9500 series which put a barrier between the protected internal and unreliable external networks are among such solutions. These solutions give to the companies of the most different scale confidence in protection against undesirable traffic.

According to the statement of the producer, in solutions of USG6600 series the uniform mechanism of protection of networks of large and medium-sized enterprises, organizations and data processing centers is implemented, high-performance processing and the analysis of traffic are provided. According to information for March, 2019, USG firewalls provide identification more than 6300 applications, the analysis of service traffic of internal network on six measured indicators and automatic issue of recommendations about security policy.

USG9500 firewalls of terabit level are created according to the concept "all in one" and intended for suppliers of cloud services, large data processing centers and large-scale corporate networks. USG9500 provides the terabit processing speed of traffic and reliability at the level of 99.999%. The solution integrates several safety features: broadcast of the network addresses, a virtual private network, virtualization and the notification about a status of services. It allows the enterprises to construct cloud data processing centers with protection of borders, to reduce costs for creation of computer centers and also the total ownership cost expected 1 Mbps. is approved in Huawei.

Both series of firewalls received certificates validity period for 5 years, till February, 2024, they extend to the following models: USG6320; USG6330; USG6350; USG6360; USG6370; USG6380; USG6390; USG6620; USG6630; USG6650; USG6660; USG6670; USG6680; USG9560; USG9580.

2013: Purpose of firewalls of USG9500 series

For February, 2013 firewalls for DPC of the USG9500 Huawei series it is generally used for security of network for providers of cloud services, data centers of the next generation and corporate networks of campus type. On the basis of architecture of NetworkProcessor+Multi-core+Distributed USG9500 series successfully integrates front lines of security technologies, such as NAT, VPN, IPS, anti-DDoS and also allows to minimize influence of use of services of security on performance.
