2021: Start selling smart TVs based on Harmony OS in Russia

On June 2, 2021, Huawei announced the launch of sales in Russia of its first TVs on the brand operating system Harmony OS 2.0, which began to supplant Android in the electronics of the Chinese manufacturer.

Huawei Vision S smart TVs will be sold in Russia in versions with 55- and 65-inch displays with the same refresh rate of 120 Hz. The devices are equipped with 4-core processors, a graphics module with the same number of cores, 3 GB of RAM, an integrated 32 GB flash drive and a 13-megapixel magnetic camera that allows you to make video calls using the capabilities of a large screen. The camera rotates 180 degrees.

The displays of both TVs cover 92% of the DCI-P3 color space and support MEMS motion compensation technology. It is needed for a clearer display of moving objects in the frame.

The audio system consists of four branded speakers with a capacity of 10 watts each: two broadband and two high-frequency. Huawei Vision S determines the nature of the content and adapts settings to improve display. For example, when watching films, the device automatically switches to "Cinema" mode, creating an atmosphere of a home theater.

In Russia, Huawei Vision S are supplied with a pre-installed Salyut TV application and voice assistant, which give access to the services of the Sber ecosystem and its partners. Also, with the help of "Salute" you can make video calls to Telegram (later group video calls will become available). The voice assistant works even when the screen is turned off. There are microphones on the console, there and in the device itself.

Sales of Huawei Vision S in the Russian market will begin on July 2, 2021. The 55-inch model will cost 60 thousand rubles, the 65-inch - 90 thousand rubles.[1]
